Travel Deals from Taiwan 2026 | Hotels, Tickets, eSIM & Transfers

TRAVEL DEALS HUB

Time-limited campaigns plus the booking, ticket, eSIM, transfer and car-hire platforms worth keeping — for people based in Taiwan, in English.

Last updated: 10 Sep 2026 ・ 7 usable campaigns ・ 26 platforms

IN SHORT
  • Written for people living in Taiwan — flying out of Taoyuan or Songshan, holding a foreign passport, and booking in English.
  • The deals list is limited to campaigns you can actually use from here. Country-restricted promotions are left out, so nothing on the list is a dead end.
  • For Asian city breaks compare Agoda and Trip.com; for ground transport in Southeast Asia use 12Go; for a short trip’s data use Airalo.
  • NHI is not travel insurance. For anything beyond a minor clinic visit, see the insurance section.

Time-limited campaigns

Only campaigns you can actually use from Taiwan are listed — country-restricted promotions are left out rather than padding the page. Expired ones move to “ended” on their own, and countdowns are calculated on page load.

How to choose: four comparisons

The campaigns above expire; these four tables do not. When several platforms sell the same thing, the difference is rarely price — it is which situation each one suits. Decide here, then book from the platform list below.

Which booking site should you use?

The same room is priced and cancellable differently across platforms. Cross-checking once usually saves 10% or more.

Which travel eSIM?

All four install before departure and work on landing. The differences are coverage and how you are billed.

Platforms worth keeping

No expiry date, useful whenever you are planning. Each entry says what the platform is and when it is the right choice. Ordered by usefulness for people based in Taiwan, not by commission.

Category

Stay

Agoda

Best for: Weekend trips around Asia

The deepest inventory of small and mid-sized hotels across Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia — the destinations most people in Taiwan actually fly to. Interface and support are in English. Watch the final page: some rates exclude tax until checkout.

Go to Agoda →
Stay

Booking.com

Best for: Plans that might still change

The largest property count anywhere and a high proportion of free-cancellation rates, which matters if your leave dates are not confirmed yet. English support is solid, and Genius status carries across bookings.

Go to Booking.com →
Stay / Flights

Trip.com

Best for: Booking flights and hotel together

Flights, hotels, rail tickets and attraction tickets in one place, with strong coverage of Asian routes out of Taipei. The Taiwan site runs in English and its seasonal campaigns are the most frequent of any platform here.

Go to Trip.com →
Tours & tickets

Klook

Best for: Attraction tickets and airport transport in Asia

The widest range of Asian attraction tickets, airport express passes and day tours, all bookable in English. Worth checking against KKday — exclusive deals differ between the two.

Go to Klook →
Tours & tickets

KKday

Best for: Local experiences in Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia

Taiwan-founded, with an English interface and a strong local-experience catalogue in Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia. Because it is based here, its Taiwan-departure products are often better priced than the international platforms.

Go to KKday →
Transfers

12Go

Best for: Getting around Southeast Asia

Trains, buses and ferries across Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, including island ferries. If your holidays look like most people’s here — long weekends in Southeast Asia — this solves the part that is hardest to book from abroad.

Go to 12Go →
eSIM

Airalo

Best for: Short trips, one country, light data use

The broadest country coverage of any travel eSIM, with 1GB starter plans in most markets and installation before you leave. Top-ups cost more per GB than the original plan, so buy enough up front if you stream.

Go to Airalo →
Flights

Kiwi.com

Best for: Flexible dates, willing to self-connect

Combines separate one-way tickets from different airlines into itineraries the traditional search engines will not show you. The trade-off: bags are not always checked through and the connection guarantee comes from the platform, not the airlines. Read those terms before booking.

Go to Kiwi.com →
Insurance

VisitorsCoverage

Best for: Trips where NHI will not be enough

Compares travel medical policies side by side — coverage limits, deductibles and pre-existing condition clauses — and issues English-language documents. Taiwan’s NHI reimburses overseas emergency treatment only partly, at domestic rates and with a claim to file afterwards, so it is not a substitute for travel medical cover.

Go to VisitorsCoverage →
Insurance

Insubuy

Best for: When a visa application needs proof of insurance

Sells the policy types that visa applications ask for, including Schengen-compliant cover, and issues the English certificate you attach to the application. Relevant if your passport needs a visa for destinations a Taiwan passport enters visa-free.

Go to Insubuy →
Stay

Hotels.com

Best for: If you travel often and want to concentrate bookings

Built around a stay-reward mechanic: collect qualifying nights, get one back. Rarely the cheapest on a single search, but if you book several trips a year through one platform the long-run return beats spreading them around.

Go to Hotels.com →
Stay

Vrbo

Best for: Families, groups, or long stays

Whole-property rentals only — no shared rooms with a host. Per-person cost usually beats hotels once there are more than three of you, and a kitchen and washing machine change what a two-week trip costs.

Go to Vrbo →
Tours & tickets

GetYourGuide

Best for: City tours in Europe, skip-the-line entry

The strongest catalogue of guided tours and skip-the-line tickets in Europe and North America, with a lot of same-day availability and free cancellation up to the day before on many products.

Go to GetYourGuide →
Tours & tickets

Tiqets

Best for: Timed-entry museums and galleries in Europe

Focused on European museums, galleries and landmarks, with tickets that scan straight from your phone. Most popular European institutions now require a booked time slot that you cannot buy at the door.

Go to Tiqets →
Tours & tickets

Tripadvisor Experiences

Best for: When you want to read reviews before committing

Reviews and booking on the same page. Not always the cheapest for an identical tour, but the review volume is the reason to use it — useful when you cannot tell whether an operator is any good.

Go to Tripadvisor Experiences →
eSIM

Yesim

Best for: One trip, several countries

Multi-country plans with a top-up model, so you are not swapping eSIMs at every border. Simpler than single-country plans on a Europe or multi-stop Asia itinerary.

Go to Yesim →
eSIM

GigSky

Best for: Cruises and long-haul flights

One of the few eSIM providers covering cruise ships and some in-flight connectivity, plus remote areas ordinary eSIMs miss. For a purely land-based trip the others are usually cheaper.

Go to GigSky →
Transfers

Welcome Pickups

Best for: Late arrivals, or travelling with kids or parents

Fixed-price airport transfers with English-speaking drivers who meet you in arrivals with a name board, and vehicle details confirmed before you fly. More expensive than a ride-hailing app; what you buy is not negotiating a fare at 1am in a language you do not read.

Go to Welcome Pickups →
Transfers

GetTransfer.com

Best for: Long-distance transfers where you want to compare

Drivers bid on your route and you pick the price and vehicle class. Quotes for the same journey vary a lot, so it rewards spending a few minutes comparing. Check driver ratings before you confirm.

Go to GetTransfer.com →
Transfers

intui.travel

Best for: Regional airports the big platforms miss

A transfer comparison site with unusually good coverage of small and regional airports. Not always cheapest into major cities, but often the only place with a car at all for a minor airport.

Go to intui.travel →
Car rental

QEEQ

Best for: First time renting abroad

Puts rental companies’ prices and insurance options side by side. With car hire the real price difference is usually in the insurance and fuel policy rather than the daily rate, so seeing the terms laid out is worth more than it sounds.

Go to QEEQ →
Car rental

AutoEurope

Best for: Driving in Europe, especially across borders

A long-established European car hire broker whose quotes usually include tax and basic insurance, which reduces surprises at the counter. Better cross-border pick-up and drop-off support than the general platforms.

Go to AutoEurope →
Transfers

Omio

Best for: Planning multi-city travel in Europe

European trains, buses and budget flights compared on one page, including cross-border routes. Most useful at the stage where you are still deciding whether a leg should be rail or air.

Go to Omio →
Other

AirHelp

Best for: When an EU flight is delayed or cancelled

Files delay, cancellation and denied-boarding claims on your behalf and charges only if the claim succeeds. Compensation under EU regulation EC 261 can run to several hundred euros, and airlines routinely stall individual claimants.

Go to AirHelp →
Other

Ticketmaster

Best for: Trips built around a show or a match

One of the largest official ticketing platforms for concerts and sports worldwide, with a proper resale mechanism. If a trip exists because of an event, get the ticket before you book flights — not the other way round.

Questions people actually ask

Do these deals work if I book from Taiwan?

Yes — that is the filter for getting on this list. Campaigns run by Trip.com’s Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam, US, Canada, German, UK, Italian, Spanish and French sites are for account holders in those markets, and Agoda’s Asia-Pacific promotion excludes Taiwan from its eligible markets, so none of them are listed here at all.

Which of these platforms actually have English support?

All of the platforms on this page run in English. Booking.com, Agoda and Trip.com have round-the-clock English support; Klook and KKday handle English by chat and email. Where it matters most is a problem at 11pm in a country whose language you do not speak, so it is worth knowing which app you booked through before you need it.

I have NHI. Do I still need travel insurance?

For anything serious, yes. Taiwan’s National Health Insurance reimburses overseas emergency treatment only partially — capped at domestic treatment rates, with a claim you file after you get back, within a time limit. It does not function like travel medical cover, and it does not cover evacuation. Check the NHIA site for the current caps before you decide.

What is the cheapest way to book a long weekend in Southeast Asia?

Flights on Kiwi.com or Trip.com, accommodation on Agoda, and ground transport once you land on 12Go. The part people get wrong is the last one — inter-city buses, trains and ferries in Thailand and Vietnam are hard to book on arrival and cheap to book in advance.

Do I need a visa, and will these insurers issue the certificate?

It depends on your nationality, not on your residence in Taiwan — destinations a Taiwan passport enters visa-free may still require a visa for yours. Where a visa application demands proof of medical cover, Insubuy and VisitorsCoverage both issue English certificates in the formats consulates ask for.

Do these links cost me more?

No. They are affiliate links, so a booking made through them may earn a small commission, but you pay the same price and see the same offers. Platforms are ordered by how useful they are, not by what they pay.

How often is this page updated?

Limited-time campaigns are refreshed regularly and expired ones move to the “ended” section automatically. The evergreen platform list grows over time.

This page contains affiliate links. If you book through one, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and it does not change the price or the offer you see. All dates, discounts and conditions are as published by each platform, which may change or end a campaign at any time.
